ABOUT PULP! THE CLASSICS

Pulp! The Classics is the latest imprint from Oldcastle Books, giving the nation's favourite classic novels original retro covers in a pulp fiction style - with a dash of wry humour. Redesigned and reset, using the original unabridged text from some of the best writers that have ever lived, Pulp! The Classics promises readers their favourite books with stunning and highly original jackets.

The series started in January 2013 with Pride & Prejudice followed by Robinson Crusoe, The Hound of The Baskervilles and The Great Gatsby in May 2013, then Wuthering Heights, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, A Christmas Carol and The Picture of Dorian Gray.

David Mann, the illustrator responsible for all our cover art so far, is an artist and illustrator who studied illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. He has previously illustrated for both publishers and corporate clients. He lives in Hertfordshire. Read David Mann's comments about the individual book artwork on the Waterstone's Blog

Book design is by Elsa Mathern, who has contributed book designs for several imprints in the Oldcastle Books group. Based in France, Elsa works in both the French and the UK design field.
